The quality was pretty good. The red Damascus steal was more like a finish that chipped at the tip. The katana came pretty oiled and sharpened, I was surprised. Overall pretty good and would be great for display.

Good katana, seems to be real Damascus with red coating. Sharp out of the box but when actually razor sharp the edge is silver which is fine but I'm sure when used for Tomeshigiri the blade will scuff but this isn't the real issue for me. At first there was a rattle which was loose decorations on tsuba but also a wiggle in the blade which I thought was the weguki possibly broken so I disassembled and discovered that apparently the blade was not properly aligned while drilling so there is a very thin spot in the tang which you can see it the picture accounting for the blade wiggle.

Super good quality! I was skeptical at I first and wary seeing as it was my first sword purchase but man was I wrong the blade came oiled and it was super pretty and definitely very sharp so be careful or you’ll end up having to get stitches like I did!
