The katana is heavier then it looks! Which is a plus for me I didn’t mind, it felt like it had character! But I will say this the material on the handle came loose along with the bottom piece that holds it together and the Sagieo came loose as well, But I redid it my self and it looks more awesome now I love my katana

Very nice piece. I’ve seen a few reviews regarding lose handle and grip or rattling but none of these problems have accrued with mine so I believe these are problems that arose during transit or in the wear house. I bought this for my granddaughter, but had it shipped to my house. I was skeptical of the quality, so I wanted to look it over and handle it before I gave it to her. I was very surprised and very pleased with the quality, workmanship and beauty of this katana. It handles well and is razor sharp and held its edge with no damage after several test cuts on my poor unsuspecting willow tree. I have ordered another Katana for my grandson based on my experience with this one.
