First time ever owing something that screams discipline. I was researching ok weaponry and the history of Japan, At first I was learning about shikomizue which then lead me to Zatoichi and now you guys(TrueKatana). I am very thankful to own this and thankful for you guys for having marketing available for customers such as myself. Eleven out of ten in my opinion if that’s even possible?

I bought this because it was almost identical to one I purchased on Amazon. But this one said it was Damascus. And I got it and the case seems to be better quality a lot thicker but the blade was shorter even though it said it was longer than my other one and the balance of the blade is far to the left. Instead of balancing out like my other one. I have heard a lot about true katana and assume that maybe you just have to have a high price one to have it balanced like my cheap Amazon one that honestly works amazing for $120 where this was supposed to be $200 normally but was on sale. Honestly I'm hoping the Damascus stays sharp but it didn't come very sharp so I might need to sharpen it and hopefully it will maintain the blade. I just hoped for more out of the price.

The Katana is beautiful! The Damascus pattern really stands out and the full tang gives the sword good weight and a feeling of stability. The fact that the sword arrived oiled and wrapped inside as well as outside, shows the level of care by the sword smith. The price was extremely reasonable and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The pictures on the website don’t do the Damascus pattern justice.

My first Katana, and wow. An absolute beauty of a sword. The Damascus shows up perfectly. While there are a few problem areas like scratches on the blade, handle material moves upon use, and the saya is a little loose. But these are all problems that I can live with, and fix myself if I ever needed. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, and my future purchases 😉
