We were actually blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of both the katana and the wooden sheath. The Katana itself is gorgeous and so well made the attention to detail is remarkable. The wooden sheath is stunning and looks like a masterpiece itself. We quickly ordered wall mounts and it’s proudly mounted on my son’s wall in his room. It’s a stunning piece to look at and he LOVES having it as part of his decor for his room as well as just an amazing piece of what I’d call art! Handmade Japanese Wakizashi Sword Damascus Steel With Brown Scabbard

The swords arrived 7-8 days after they were shipped. I had received an email confirming the order when I placed it, however I did not receive an email when it shipped, so I didn't know to look for them. They may have been outside a day before I noticed the boxes. With that said the boxes arrived in good shape with no obvious shipping damage. I'm not the biggest fan of the all styrofoam containers, due to it being a little messy when opening the packaging, but I can't deny it did an excellent job in protecting the swords as they arrived in perfect condition. I haven't had a chance to cut any water bottles yet, but all of the swords seem reasonably sharp. Everything seems well built with no obvious defects that I can tell at this time.

Handmade Katana Sword Damascus Steel With Black Scabbard

I purchased 5 katana from 5 separate stores. This one had higher quality and tracking than all the others. The balance was good. The sword stays appropriately in the saya/sheath when turned upside down, and there is no rattle in the saya when you gently shake it.

The sword was able to handle tameshigiri on tatami goza without incident for a 1/4 sized, 1/2 sized, and full-sized roll. Other katana started to chip at the blade, had pulls in the tatami on their cuts, or simply couldn't properly slice.

The only downside is all others came with a bag, and this one did not, but as it is the one that will continue to be used, it is not much of a downside.
