I have held a real 95 gunto military sword and this one for the money is an excellent reproduction! Very sharp, so be careful! The metal is high grade carbon steel (1095) which holds its edge! A nice collectors piece without having to spent serious money on the real thing!

Unfortunately mine did come with minor scratches that came unexpectedly however the delivery was quick and the price was not at all a waste! I really wish I could give 5 stars, but I received a damaged product. I was given a 25% discount, but I would have much rather had the sword in good condition than have some money off. However, the two katanas I got are still very cool and I love them, hence why I would want to give a 5. However, for the price I wish the condition was better.

Nice workmanship, but fits a little loose. I used to have an ‘actual’ officers sword, and it had a metal latch to keep the sword from falling out is the scabbard. Would be nice to see if you could replicate this. I would definitely buy such a sword: practical and pragmatic.
