Good katana, seems to be real Damascus with red coating. Sharp out of the box but when actually razor sharp the edge is silver which is fine but I'm sure when used for Tomeshigiri the blade will scuff but this isn't the real issue for me. At first there was a rattle which was loose decorations on tsuba but also a wiggle in the blade which I thought was the weguki possibly broken so I disassembled and discovered that apparently the blade was not properly aligned while drilling so there is a very thin spot in the tang which you can see it the picture accounting for the blade wiggle.

Strong durable metal, sword not sharp enough to cut through soft material easily like leather. And wooden sheath not good idea cause it get wooden chip and dust all over the sword.

Overall the sword is worth the 170 i paid for it but the handel is a bit rushed in a sense. Glued parts, the wooden pin covers are clearly hotguled over the pins with in some parts too much hotglue, and the exposed wood due to it being wrapped hurriedly. Aside from that its full tang, has a nice weight to it, the sheathe is nice but a bit loose on the sword, and it seemingly real damascus. I scratched away near the hilt past the red plating and it looks to be folded but i really dont know how many times. Its worth the money i guess.

Super good quality! I was skeptical at I first and wary seeing as it was my first sword purchase but man was I wrong the blade came oiled and it was super pretty and definitely very sharp so be careful or you’ll end up having to get stitches like I did!
