Build quality is lacking in some areas. r

Packaging is terrible. It comes in a taped up Styrofoam container instead of a wooden or cardboard box. Its from China, but that's expected.r

The katana itself is decent and sharp.r
The outer finish on the saya is nice and looks exactly like the pictures.r
r
However, it was extremely hard to remove the katana from the saya, due to the habaki area getting stuck. I ended up having to lightly sand down the koiguchi area once I eventually got the katana out of the saya.r

Moreover, the blade rattles in the saya, which I'm not sure how I'm going to fix yet.

I Absolutely love it. It has trouble being removed from the scabbard at times, but overall looks really pretty. Very light and feels great in the hands. I bought a display for it in my room and is definitely an amazing piece to look at, plus it's black which is just my style. TrueKatana Team, I'm very happy with this blade for the most part. The only shortfall was the blackened side of the blade. The color was inconsistent across the surface of the blade, and a lot of it came off once I wiped the blade with a dry cloth (the cloth turned black). I would've rated it five stars otherwise. The blade itself was superior! Very straight and sharp. The craftsmanship and quality of the handle and scabbard were also outstanding. No noticeable flaws at all. Overall, great job! I would recommend you to anyone looking for a similar blade. Thank you.

The craftsmanship on this katana is awesome. I couldn’t be more pleased with the black blade. Very very sharp edge. Very good craftsmanship. Katana to scabbard is a perfect fit. I will definitely buy more products from true katana. I wish I could give six stars would recommend to anyone.

Everything is good..except..when I was simply shaking it to see if anything was loose or rattled, the tsuka (handle) squeaks. I suppose it's minimal but a little annoying. Sharp though. I may consider buying more.
