The only thing I did was wipe the blade with some blade oil to even out the shine. Definitely a wonderful piece for the price. The full tang is evident when swinging, the blade has a convex grind, the craftsmanship is superb for such an relatively low-priced sword. Absolutely love the purchase.
Oh and the blade is more of a burnt orange/red orange blade color depending on lighting, as opposed to crimson, which i was a bit disappointed about. I envisioned a more red/darkred tinted blade, but that is the most I can critique honestly. Seriously appreciate the attention to detail! I can only imagine the quality of the $2000 swords, maybe in another life I'd be able to afford one of those, haha.

The only complaint I have is that it was supposed to be razor sharp but it’s kinda dull. O and it was delivered to the wrong apartment luckily it was delivered to my brothers apartment. He lives in #2 and I live in #10 but it all worked out just fine. As far as the product goes it’s definitely worth the money very high quality and I’m happy with product and would definitely recommend it.

They smashed it out of the ballpark with this product. It was affordable and shipped very quickly. The katana is very nicely made and is absolutely beautiful. Cuts things very well and is great in my room for display. Ok, so… This sword is beautiful. It’s very well made. It feels battle-ready, like the description says. However! It comes with a manual inside the box that says you’re not allowed to cut anything with the sword. It’s a display piece only. That’s why it doesn’t get 5 stars. Because I have no clue if I can or cannot cut stuff with it.
