I bought this Katana as an 18th birthday gift for my son. He’s very involved in martial arts and things of that nature. He went and found the Katana and asked for it as his gift. We were actually blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of both the katana and the wooden sheath. The Katana itself is gorgeous and so well made the attention to detail is remarkable. The wooden sheath is stunning and looks like a masterpiece itself. We quickly ordered wall mounts and it’s proudly mounted on my son’s wall in his room. The sword is beautiful. I bought two swords on Amazon and they both broke within a week. My son (who is into Katana Swords) was devastated. This sword is built so much better and it’s very sleek. He’s only 6 so he’s not allowed to touch it without Mommy or Daddy right next to him. I’m teaching him to respect the sword and to understand it’s a very powerful weapon. We love it. Arrived timely. Blade straight and sharp
Nice stacked pattern on blade reminds me of Damascus pattern. The blade seemed brownish in color. Like rust but dosnt wipe off. The Saya looked like it was painted by a 3 year old. It's the blue and white flowers very sloppy. I repainted best I could but this has never been a problem with my other purchases. Maybe I just got a bad one.

Beautiful weapon. The scabbard and blade look exquisite. The red color on the blade adds mystique, yet you can still see the pattern and the balance is excellent. The handle and scabbard wrapping are firm and look fantastic. Definitely art and functionality fused beautifully.

This sword was purchased as a gift; I did open it and inspect it before re-wrapping it.
The craftsmanship was very good! The blade came oiled and very sharp, the woodwork was in impeccable condition.
My only two minor complaints are (1) the steel in the online photos shows a wavy pattern more akin to what I think of when I see Damascus steel (the blade I received did not have the same metal pattern) and (2) the brass work had some edges that weren't quite polished down from casting.
Otherwise I (and the recipient) are very pleased with this, and I will buy swords here again.
