I don’t like ordering this kind of stuff online because I don’t trust it. I took a risk and ordered this item. I’m glad I took that risk. Quality was better than I expected and shipping was fast. Will definitely order from here again.

Im very pleased with how my katana turned out, it's well made and I was excited to get it. It's now my most valued possession. I like the scabbard it came with aswell however the only problem with it is that there's no insulation on the inside or something to protect the blade from damage by pulling it out an putting it back in it but that would be it everything else is well made an I'm happy with the results.

Sword was as described personally the ito wrap was too dark for me but the munuki we're beautiful same with all the other fittings and all we're secured tightly. A couple problems though is that the blade doesn't fit perfectly in the saya so there's a little bit of a rattle and secondly the habaki is just pressure fit to the koiguchi so it's tight but not the tightest fot will fall out if you shake it too much while its facing down, but other than those two things the sword is awesome will be buying from here again someday.

Damascus steel got its name from the capital city of Syria. When polished this steel shows a clear and pretty pattern. The original Damascus steel found its way to Europe during the medieval times. The main material used for forging Damascus steel was called Wootz steel. Unfortunately, the ancient forging technique was lost during the 18. century.
In modern times another technique is used for creating Damascus steel. Nowadays, different steel types called refined steels are used. They are pulverised and afterwards heated to their melting point. Various refined steels are mixed together and under high-pressure form a material similar to Damascus steel.
A few very pricy Japanese katanas are forged from this steel. The result is a great-looking sword with a beautiful pattern on the blade, but often less reliable and weaker.
