Placed the order on July 14th and received the sword today. Apparently when TrueKatana says "in stock" that means in stock in China.....still, the tracking was not bad at all, I could log on and get info anytime, right up until delivery. I admit I was apprehensive about paying this much for a Katana, but I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with this purchase. r
The fit and finish is absolutely perfect, I cannot find a flaw in this blade, handle or scabbard. It even came with a neat silk lined case that I wasn't expecting. The Hamon is perfect, the blade has a beautiful taper and it is true to all the features of a WWII type 98 Shin Gunto. Anyone worried about the quality matching the price should buy with confidence, you will not be disappointed with this Katana!!!!!!

They never gave me a shipping date so it showed up with out me knowing, but was packaged well could be sharper in spots on the blade but looks to be decent quality workmanship. Already bought a second one different style.

The sword is beautiful. I bought two swords on Amazon and they both broke within a week. My son (who is into Katana Swords) was devastated. This sword is built so much better and it’s very sleek. He’s only 6 so he’s not allowed to touch it without Mommy or Daddy right next to him. I’m teaching him to respect the sword and to understand it’s a very powerful weapon. We love it. Thanks for making such a great product.

Shipping was a little confusing.... it only took one werk exactly. It was in order processing and "on the way" to be shipped with delivery on Tuesday. It stayed in that mode and arrived Monday... I was surprised by just how nice this sword is. When you buy a handmade sword for under $300, you're not expecting to use it fighting other immortals for their power, but I was actually blown away by how well it is made. The purple color of the Damascus blade is beautiful. It was way sharper than I expected it to be. The detail of the engravings and hand guard is perfect. The sword fits securely within the sheath, which is also very nice and the wrapping on the handle is tight and the spacing is very even in the cord. While my intention for this was a wall mounted display, I have found myself handling this sword way more than I expected. Shipping was lighting fast, I think about 4-5 days from order until it arrived. I will be buying my next TrueKatana soon!
