received my order a little over a week ago. The sword is beautiful and well crafted, more than I expected. One problem though, the handle has about a two crack and a hairline crack on the scabbard which I'm having repaired, a minor inconvenience considering the overall appearance is a real compliment and I understand things just happen, no negative reflection on your company, the item is a very beautiful piece and I'm very proud to own one. It's a little bigger than what zatoichi fans should expect, but that was my fault for not knowing how big the listed length is (I'm 5'6) the quality is pretty darn good. The habaki is a little tight in koiguchi but that's expected of a shikomizue (to be used as a cane) I will definitely be purchasing from trukatana in future. Budget and sturdy quality stuff.

Great deal! For the price I wasn't expecting it to be as fine of quality. The wood tsuka and saya appears to be fine hardwood with a tight grain and no blemishes or visible seams where it was joined. The two mekugi (pegs) in the handle are smooth and the emblem in the wood is laser-engraved. The blade fits into the saya tightly with no rattling. It arrived with the 1045 steel blade greased and protected in plastic wrap—a sign of care on behalf of TrueKatana.
Overall, my first impressions are that it is a hefty, sharp, and balanced sword, fit to do some actual cutting. I cannot wait to test it out! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Well. It's a sword. And its sharp. Very freaking sharp. Cut myself the first day. On accident. The sword overall is very clean. And subtly eloquent from a distance. The details are very lacking. Closer inspection shows: chipped tip, sloppy oiling, what i can only hope isn't a horizontal stress fracture of the blade, a few blunted zone of the edge, two piece scabbard AND handle, non-removable handle pins (trust me i tried), shoddy carving of the initial opening of the sheathe (results in sword getting stuck on open and close, must be very specific on how you close it), as well as what i can only assume is either a water mark or a wood stain spot on the butt of the sheathe, the engraving is top notch, appearing to be engraved, not laser burned. Overall it's a 6/10. Good work sword.

Shipped in under a week, stabbed a few water bottles, flipped it around a bit. Well made, good looking, comfortably heavy sword. I was worried about the grip before I got it but it has enough friction to hold as steady as any other sword. Even relocated a spider with it (not sorry). Been a fan of blind fury (Rutger hauer) since I seen the movie and always wanted the same sword he used as a walking cane. No complaints as far as delivery time and receiving it , just remember that it's not a $1000 sword and it does have some small defects in the blade, a little heavy, but overall it was worth what I paid for and I'm very happy I now have it. It will be a great display piece in my collection.

The package when it arived was damaged-falling apart.The tape barely held it together in the middle.When the UPS handed it to me he had to be careful not let it fall apart in his hands.He wondered if I was going to refuse the damaged box.I stated as long as the sword is undamaged Ill accept it.I immediately examined it expecting to see damage,got EXTREMELY lucky the sword was not damaged.I suggest you take greater care in the packaging of such a good sword.
