This company is great! This is my 4th sword from them, I even was fortunate enough to buy the Tibetan Warrior/Hunting sword that was limited. Had a full size katana, Wazikashi and now this Tanto. i have never used truekatana before and i am quite satisfied with 2 tanto purchases i made from there. first off, was packed well and was protected coming to this country. the shirasaya tanto is beautiful and is very sharp-cant wait to test cut with it. As a true gamble i ordered a higher end more ornamental tanto and was in disbelief as i saw that the blade is probably the sharpest of any blade i have. I cant wait to test. i have no doubt both tantos are properly pegged, functional, and will perform! if i have one complaint its that everything should come with its respective swordbag. I will order from truekatana again for sure.

The ito is semi-tight. The blade itself is very well done. Habaki is nicely done. The kahira and fuchi are very plain nothing special but the do their job. Sageo is definitely one of the nicer ones i have seen for a blade of this price.The Tsuba design is nice and the saya has a really cool design. Overall a nice collectors piece. I am happy with the selection.

You get what you pay for. It’s a $70 tanto, certainly sharp and cool, but straight out of the packaging with messed up leather under the wrapping and the leather looks like white styrofoam.
