It looks exactly how I wanted it but it came very dirty. It seems like the sleeve was a perfect size for the blade so I’m not sure how it got this dirty but I will give a update on how the sword is holding up after a few weeks/months.

i have never used truekatana before and i am quite satisfied with 2 tanto purchases i made from there. first off, was packed well and was protected coming to this country. the shirasaya tanto is beautiful and is very sharp-cant wait to test cut with it. As a true gamble i ordered a higher end more ornamental tanto and was in disbelief as i saw that the blade is probably the sharpest of any blade i have. I cant wait to test. i have no doubt both tantos are properly pegged, functional, and will perform! if i have one complaint its that everything should come with its respective swordbag. I will order from truekatana again for sure.

IPad Air4 for size comparison. It's beautiful, just like the photos. It has a hefty weight and feels sturdy. I absolutely love it and just need to get a display stand for it.
I didn't want to remove the plastic on the blade, as I don't have any oil yet to care for it, so I'm leaving it wrapped but I saw no chips, bends, dents, or scratches on the blade. It arrived carefully wrapped between two blocks of Styrofoam in perfect condition and tracking was easy to follow. Overall I'm super satisfied and so glad I bought it.

Very nice and well made. The sword stays in its wooden sheath until you pull it out. This was a concern for me as
I had ordered the same style sword from another company and the wood was bass wood. It’s a soft wood, the sword falls out of its wooden sheath on its own!!
So I was quite impressed with the construction of this sword from True Katana. It was exactly what I was looking for.

This one is a great find. Beautiful build quality and also very affordable. It caught my eye emediately on the website, ordered it and when it arrived in almost less than a week I was not disappointed. The weight of it is awesome, really feels strong in hand. The sleek simple bamboo design is top notch also . This sword took me back to my days in Okinawa, Japan thanks True Katana! When it arrived there was a couple cracks in my scabbard causing it to release a little loosely but I addressed it with TrueKatana Customer service and they sent me a new scabbard free of charge! Best customer service ever! Sent an email with a couple pictures and Fiona responded promptly within 24 hrs. Very pleased with the TrueKatana brand so far! Looking forward to my next purchase.
