The tanto was beautiful exotic wood grain looks and feels great was a little loose in the scabard but used the old samurai wax trick and now it's good I'm not sure what the wood is maybe tiger wood but is super attractive and with a couple of coats of oil it is amazing blade is razor sharp I've already ordered some other pieces from true katana as there selection and unique designs are very cool and the pricing is good something for everyone at different price points I'm glad I stumbled onto true katana as for shipping this item took about a week

One problem though, the handle has about a two crack and a hairline crack on the scabbard which I'm having repaired, a minor inconvenience considering the overall appearance is a real compliment and I understand things just happen, no negative reflection on your company, the item is a very beautiful piece and I'm very proud to own one. Great little Ningato. It is a bit heavier than I was expecting, but that is fine! Tested the RC Hardness and it is right in line with 1045 Carbon Steel. I wanted to get another T10, but this was amazing at 40% off with your labor day sale.

This is the first katana I have ever bought and understand this is in no way a battle ready or perfectly hand crafted weapon, but I do think there should be more attention to the finer details like the handle being offset from the blade. I also know this is not a traditional handle design for a katana and while it is off centered and slightly loose it feels amazing. Other than that, this thing is extremely sharp and near perfectly balanced. The tip did roll slightly, not 100% sure on what as I try not to hit hard things with this sword, but it's also $200. All in all 7/10 mainly because of the off-centered handle. I will definitely buy from here again. Fast shipping, and arrived in perfect condition.
