The only thing I did was wipe the blade with some blade oil to even out the shine. Definitely a wonderful piece for the price. The full tang is evident when swinging, the blade has a convex grind, the craftsmanship is superb for such an relatively low-priced sword. Absolutely love the purchase.
Oh and the blade is more of a burnt orange/red orange blade color depending on lighting, as opposed to crimson, which i was a bit disappointed about. I envisioned a more red/darkred tinted blade, but that is the most I can critique honestly. Seriously appreciate the attention to detail! I can only imagine the quality of the $2000 swords, maybe in another life I'd be able to afford one of those, haha.

I think for the price of the item it’s worth the money. There’s a few things that could be better like the loose fit in the scabbard and the way it fits in the scabbard. But other than that, I think it’s a great product for blade enthusiasts and collectors. I wouldn’t recommend trying heavy cutting with these weapons for they are better equipped for light cutting.

The quality was pretty good. The red Damascus steal was more like a finish that chipped at the tip. The katana came pretty oiled and sharpened, I was surprised. Overall pretty good and would be great for display.

The quality of the katana was impeccable. I would and will definitely order from there again. The only reason it is not a 5 star review is that the sharpness of the blade was disappointing. The website was super easy to order from. The explanations of what we’re purchasing was accurate. And the prices are reasonable. My only issue with this entire transaction was lack of communication. I never received any confirmation about the purchase. No tracking numbers, no order numbers. I had to send 4 emails to different people before I did finally get a confirmation back. And then 2 days later I received my sword. And MAN!!!! It’s awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. It’s damn sharp and well constructed. It’s such a cool conversation piece but I’m also excited to try it out on some items.

My favorite part about the katana is the clay tempered pattern. It has a unique look to it. Also, it feel like a solid and durable sword so far. I haven't cut anything with it yet to test the sharpness of the blade, but I was able to return the katana back to the sheath very smoothly and I was pleased with that.
