I buy swords from True Katana because they are pretty okay. I practice tameshigiri with them. They hold up fine.r
What DOESN'T hold up fine is this company itself. They once sent me a dinged and pockmarked shinobi. When I sent pictures and pointed out the damage, they were insolent and rude and dismissive. They didn't even try to reconcile with me.r
I recommend performance Katanas from this company; but you better pray they show up okay because this company's customer service is complete and utter garbage.

I ordered a Katana and a sword stand. However, the sword stand couldn't deliver which was unfortunate but it was made transparent to me with an immediate refund. The quality of the sword is really nice for the price. The shipping costs were unknown until after the purchase, which would have been nicer to know beforehand. For the rest, very nice quick response times :)

The Tsuba is a bit thinner than I expected, but that is not necessarily a problem. r
I also note that the balance point is about 5 inches forward of the Tsuba - a bit farther forward than most. It works for me as the sword handles quite well.

Overall a good product. The blade is excellent, and overall workmanship is quite good.r
Two problems observed:r
The Habaki is loose - it slides back and forth on the blade with a noticeable gap between the notch on the blade and the Seppa.r
The Tsuka-Ito is a bit looser than it should be.r
While I can repair both of these I should not have to do so. The assembly should not have passed inspection.

The katana is heavier then it looks! Which is a plus for me I didn’t mind, it felt like it had character! But I will say this the material on the handle came loose along with the bottom piece that holds it together and the Sagieo came loose as well, But I redid it my self and it looks more awesome now I love my katana

It wasn't as attractive as it pictured online, and I had to get my husband to remove the blade from the sheath because there was some kind of plastic wrap inside the sheath which made it almost impossible to open. Not particularly pleased with this overall.
