When I first found this page, I was so blown away by the amount of stock that was available I had such a hard time choosing what one to buy first. But im so glad I picked and finally got it in the mail. I was even more blown away when I opened it and held it. I'm still so very excited to have one and will most definitely be getting more. It’s my first sword and I’m really satisfied with its quality. The materials look premium, the handle feels good and the balance is nice although I haven’t cut anything with it apart from some paper. It’s not as sharp as I would have wished it to be and it has a little chip on the apex, which may have occurred from transportation or from sheathing/unsheathing, but nothing that can’t be fixed with a little patience and sharpening. Regarding transportation and sheath; the package was simple, foam wrapped in tape, the sheath and handle were wrapped in plastic, BUT, the blade was coated probably with an anti corrosion oil and wrapped in a plastic foil; the sheath feels a bit on the big side as the blade kinda wobbles inside from left to right and sheathing/unsheathing leaves chips of wood on the apex.r
I love the pattern on the blade.r
All in all, I’m really satisfied with it as a first purchase, and I’m really curious and excited about buying a tamahagane blade in the future.

Love the sword. The blade, Saya, and ito all have excellent craftsmanship. My only issue was that one of the fittings as well as the sageo wrap was loose. Other than that can not complain. Worth the money.

Purchased for my son for Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Katana and the workmanship put into it. This is his first 'collector' piece and we will definitely return for his other pieces. In October I plan to ask for one of the one thousand folded, clay tempered either Tachi or Katana for my birthday.
This Katana is a very beautiful piece and the well wrapped saya matches the tsuka ((handle) with the same Samegawa (PU Ray-skin) and PU leather wrappings creating a beautiful finished piece. The tsuba is iron and crafted well with a simplistic design. The handle and the saya do feel well made, though it's difficult to tell entirely. The saya fits the blade very well, 'locking' the blade in place so it cannot accidentally slide out as long as it is pressed in properly. The black blade is aesthetically pleasing and my son loved the added 'mystery' it gave the overall all black, obsidian obscurity, as he now calls it.
Very happy with our purchase.

My first order from True Katana and it is beautiful. The blade is very nice, and the rest of the Katana is well done. I know it says that these are strictly for decoration, but it sure looks like it could put a hurt on a person. Of course that person could be me so it is going on the mantle.
