Amazing quality. Everything is snug, tight, and very well-built. The tang is tightly wound with durable ray skin underneath. The end cap of the tang is snuggly fitted. The blade itself, while this will be used for display, is extremely sturdy. r

My main purchasing factor was that True Katana was the only company selling WWII katanas (olive color, rosewood, etc.), and all of the designs and effects are 100% accurate, with the reasonable exception that there is no stamp on the blade (but that's expected, because those forges did not make the blade). With that being said, for what this is, it's well worth the price. r

Also, shipping was very fast considering it came from China to America.

Beautiful sword! Love everything about it, except for the chips of paint that were showing the silver metal beneath it upon me opening it up. I hate that I can’t post more than one photo since the tip of the blade and a few cm below it are also chipped spots. But everything else I love!

The blade itself is beautiful And it arrived pretty quick. The fittings feel solid, and the overall aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for. However, the main issue is with the scabbard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit properly; the sword shakes inside, and if pointed downward, it falls out on its own. With that said if the saya had been properly fitted, this would have been nearly perfect.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. For my first sword buying experience, I regret ordering online but I’m glad I ordered thru TrueKatana. As someone who never owned a sword, my initial impressions were blown away upon delivery. My only issue with the handle itself is that the Tsuba & Habaki don’t match the picture. The 4stars in my review are from the fact TrueKatana was also EXTREMELY communicative & responded to my emails swiftly during the shipping process. All in all, I’d buy again!

Beautifully made sword, scabbard fits beautifully, came packaged with the blade treated in mineral oil witch helps keeps the blade from being damaged by any handling or any thing that might cuase rusting to occur, quick order processing and delivery was within two days of shipping, you could end up paying way more for these quality swords, don't be stupid get it here @ truekatana, I will be ordering another sword very soon for my brother Zach. Packaging is terrible. It comes in a taped up Styrofoam container instead of a wooden or cardboard box. Its from China, but that's expected.r

The katana itself is decent and sharp.r
The outer finish on the saya is nice and looks exactly like the pictures.r

However, it was extremely hard to remove the katana from the saya, due to the habaki area getting stuck. I ended up having to lightly sand down the koiguchi area once I eventually got the katana out of the saya.r

Moreover, the blade rattles in the saya, which I'm not sure how I'm going to fix yet.
