I must say I am completely satisfied with my order and blade is well oiled and everything is sharp and in great condition I’m truly appreciative for the care and time that truekatana took to make this tanto. This Tanto is simple and elegant. Just what I wanted. A couple of finish points could be improved, to be honest. The Saya, scabbard, had a small raised rough spot from debris in the finish. The point where the Habaki, ferrule, meets the blade at the Mune-Machi, notch at the back, is rough due to uneven surface match of the two metals. The Ha, cutting edge, had a bur. This was easy to remedy with less than five minutes of sharpening. Not razor sharp, but it will pop a few hairs. To be fair, the price was reasonable, it was handmade, and it was shipped quickly. Customer service was excellent for me. They responded in a timely manner and were very nice. This Tanto is well balanced, feels good in my hand, and displays well. I am happy with this knife. I collect knives and this one is a beauty.

This company is great! This is my 4th sword from them, I even was fortunate enough to buy the Tibetan Warrior/Hunting sword that was limited. Had a full size katana, Wazikashi and now this Tanto. All exquisitely made and all are very durable! No need to show elsewhere, the selection is numerous and the prices are for everyone.

Tanto was beautiful. Finishing was a little rough, I’ve seen the same fittings on other tanto’s, and the blade was loose in the Saya, I glued a small shim on the bottom of the opening, problem solved, but the quality is on the high side of good. Remember this is a 79.00 blade, Quality control in not at its finest. That being said, I enjoy the purchase and would buy another one if the need arises. Aesthetically it is a beautiful blade and makes for a good display piece. Its size might surprise you, the blade is over 12 inches long. I am overall Satisfied with the purchase.

The ito is semi-tight. The blade itself is very well done. Habaki is nicely done. The kahira and fuchi are very plain nothing special but the do their job. Sageo is definitely one of the nicer ones i have seen for a blade of this price.The Tsuba design is nice and the saya has a really cool design. Overall a nice collectors piece. I am happy with the selection.

The sheath is very loose and slips off if I put it upside down so it’s a little dangerous to use can easily fall out of the sheath

Nice, solid, hefty Tanto short sword. Seems to be well-built and includes a wooden sheath. The top of the edge near the tip is sharp, although; the further you go down the edge the less sharp it becomes. Not a bad sword for the price and steel used.
