The Tsuba is a bit thinner than I expected, but that is not necessarily a problem. r
I also note that the balance point is about 5 inches forward of the Tsuba - a bit farther forward than most. It works for me as the sword handles quite well.

The blade itself is beautiful And it arrived pretty quick. The fittings feel solid, and the overall aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for. However, the main issue is with the scabbard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit properly; the sword shakes inside, and if pointed downward, it falls out on its own. With that said if the saya had been properly fitted, this would have been nearly perfect.

Everything is tight and the blade is sharp. The black blade was a surprise but it looks awesome! Had a small issue with the payment on the website and it was quickly resolved. Over all is was a very good value for a medium quality blade. It makes for a beautiful display. Shipping time was also very good from out of the country.

Sword over all is great quality for the price. Super sharp, beautifully crafted.

However the saya (sheath) is much brighter than it looks on the site, almost like glitter. I was expecting a more forest green.

All in all very satisfied.

I could not be more pleased with my order of the pictured katana. First, the packaging was very well done. Order arrived in a styrofoam box wrapped in water proof yellow tape. Inside, the blade was in its scabbard (saya) which was in a clear plastic wrap for protection. Upon removing the blade, I found it inside of an oiled tubular plastic wrap for corrosion protection. Second, the scabbard had a beautiful, consistent coloration and was made of hardwood with gold fittings - classy. Third the blade - 5/16" thick at the crossguard (tsuba) tapering to 3/16" at the tip. The differential heat treating line was stunning. The blade was very sharp and the handle was also covered in clear plastic wrap for protection. What a great value - I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I definitely recommend True Katana to anyone that feels skeptical. I went for a battle ready sword, display piece nonetheless. It could come in handy in some unforeseen circumstance compared to the cheaper swords when it comes to durability. The sword lived up to its expectations. It’s a gift for my brother’s 40th birthday, so I can’t really show you a picture of me wielding it because it’s not mine. However, me and my father gave a sneak peek test run of the sword and it is damn good of a sword. Very sturdy and I like the fact that it has some weight to it.
