Amazing quality. Everything is snug, tight, and very well-built. The tang is tightly wound with durable ray skin underneath. The end cap of the tang is snuggly fitted. The blade itself, while this will be used for display, is extremely sturdy. r

My main purchasing factor was that True Katana was the only company selling WWII katanas (olive color, rosewood, etc.), and all of the designs and effects are 100% accurate, with the reasonable exception that there is no stamp on the blade (but that's expected, because those forges did not make the blade). With that being said, for what this is, it's well worth the price. r

Also, shipping was very fast considering it came from China to America.

The sword arrived less than 15 days, very fast shipping. The sword is very sturdy and the quality is great, for the price!! The edge is not very sharp, which is okay. It is very unfortunate that the blade and tsuka cannot be disassembled for maintenance. That would be my only compliment

The sword is solid but nimble with a more slender blade,but the red black leather handle with the solid suba and the cool red blade combined with the flawless wood saya makes this a piece to just show off. It's a beaty.

It’s a well made and beautiful looking sword, it’s one of the best I had ever obtained.

The reason for only four stars however is that some of the fittings became loose and one came unglued shortly after receiving it.

Despite this I would (and probably will) order again from TrueKatana.

Nice workmanship, but fits a little loose. I used to have an ‘actual’ officers sword, and it had a metal latch to keep the sword from falling out is the scabbard. Would be nice to see if you could replicate this. I would definitely buy such a sword: practical and pragmatic.

Initial product is nice.

However glue used for the hook and ornaments was horrible, had to superglue them after not long.

Habaki is slightly loose, although it isn’t a problem thankfully.

Would recommend for a first buy, as I did, but not for anyone who collects them.

Nice looking katana but soft steel, and bendable by hand. Definitely a wall-hanger. If this really is made of T10 then there's something wrong with the hardening/tempering process. I wouldn't recommend using it for cutting or sparring, etc.

I chose this specific style because I was looking for something that resembled a ww11 Japanese warrior sword and this does. All the way down from the design and coloring. Handle design.
