New member of the family! I love this katana and my backyard is now full of decapitated water bottles. I've drank so many water bottles and filled them with tap water to not be wasteful--it's so addicting, getting that perfect clean slice on the water bottles, slicing multiple water bottles at once, slicing the larger jugs of waters, slicing fruits--this t10 steel is so resilient and cuts through the targets like butter. Of course, this is my first katana, my swordsmanship is that of an ultra-novice, but now I'm invigorated to learn--and learn more of the samurai history--after purchasing this instrument. What is great about TrueKatana is their unique designs, all the different scabbards and the subtle details on the hilts, the tsuba, the sheath, etc.--so much selection! I was warned that purchasing a katana would activate an addiction and, well, no regrets! 10/10, this model, the blue blade, it's mesmerizing. Just taking it out of the sheath and staring at it 😆 ...Okay, I think this review may have come off a bit long but trust me, purchase a katana from here and you'll understand!

The sword and everything about the sword is absolutely beautiful. Peride my only complaint is that the scabbard the pairs to be made of thick cardboard or some kind of cheap wood if it was made out of a more solid or sturdy material. I would be 5 staring this all day long. .
I do have another one coming, so we'll see what that 1 looks like.

I will say though, it shipped and arrived in a timely manner, it looks very well made, and is sharp. They packaged it super well. Let’s hope I picked a sword he will love getting under the tree

A truly gorgeous weapon! And it arrived four days after I ordered, which was nice. I will say that the golden piece that separates the blade from the hand guard is loose enough to wiggle when the sword is swung. Thankfully it's stuck on there enough to not fall off or get pulled off easily, but I wish it wasn't loose at all. The blade itself is a dual toned blue and purple blend, but I'm talking a deep shadowy purple. When light is reflected off any point of the blade there's a lovely mid-tone blue shine that sort of "disappears" into the darker colored portion near the tip. How balanced the colors appear to be depends on the angle you're holding it, so sometimes the blade just looks like an almost midnight blue color. Compared to my stainless steel katana this one is heavy. The box it came in said the whole deal is 3.70 pounds, and I couldn't tell you exactly how much of that is the box and packaging Styrofoam, but you'll certainly feel the weight if you're not used to what I guess could constitute as a "real" katana. A fair warning to all: there's a ton of oil on the blade straight out of the box, and while it makes the blade look all the nicer it will pick up dusty elements and stuff like that. As for sharpness, I'm just assuming it gets the job done- couldn't bring myself to touch the blade. Overall, it's a badass sibling to my stainless steel 🤌🏼
