Nice solid blade. Arrived quite sharp and with a bit of oil applied which is nice. Only flaw is the blade fits quite tightly into the shirasaya (scabbard) right at the tsuba but nothing a bit of light sanding won't fix (which i plan to do). Nice beginner iadio training blade, it also looks beautiful in person.

New member of the family! I love this katana and my backyard is now full of decapitated water bottles. I've drank so many water bottles and filled them with tap water to not be wasteful--it's so addicting, getting that perfect clean slice on the water bottles, slicing multiple water bottles at once, slicing the larger jugs of waters, slicing fruits--this t10 steel is so resilient and cuts through the targets like butter. Of course, this is my first katana, my swordsmanship is that of an ultra-novice, but now I'm invigorated to learn--and learn more of the samurai history--after purchasing this instrument. What is great about TrueKatana is their unique designs, all the different scabbards and the subtle details on the hilts, the tsuba, the sheath, etc.--so much selection! I was warned that purchasing a katana would activate an addiction and, well, no regrets! 10/10, this model, the blue blade, it's mesmerizing. Just taking it out of the sheath and staring at it 😆 ...Okay, I think this review may have come off a bit long but trust me, purchase a katana from here and you'll understand!

Authentic Japanese Katana Sword T10 Folded Clay Tempered Steel Real Hamon TK-JP-KT19135 . I am very pleased with the quality of this sword. Everything fits nice and tight, there is no blade rattle once in saya. The Tsuba (Guard) and Kashira (pommel) show no casting imperfections. The Tsuka ito (Cord Warp) is the best I have felt. All parts are of quality. Although I haven't used it Tameshigiri (test cutting), I expect the blade to perform well. Small negatives - first, be in no hurry to receive the sword...3.5 weeks for me. Second, the list of "Do not ...." with this sword seems excessive and sometimes humorous.

I have it displayed on the wall of my office and it's a beautiful addition. Have not tested it out, but out of the box it looks great, just like the pictures. Feels like excellent craftsmanship, the only reason why I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there's about a 3 inch section of the blade that is not sharpened properly. Cuts paper decently well but when it hits the dull section it tears. Will have to touch it up on the wet stone. For the price it's a great katana especially if it's true t10 steel that's properly forged/hardened.
