It is a piece of art for sure! I was a little disappointed that that tsuba looked kind of cheap and there's visible glue in places. The etching on the blade is gorgeous though and the whole thing is nice and weighty. Even the sheath is pretty. Thank you!

I'm leaving 5 stars but I'd prefer to drop it to 4.8 or 4.9. The sword was perfect. Crafted well, sharpened to a fine blade, and beautiful. The only issue was a minor cosmetic issue where some adhesive had failed and something popped of the sheath. A little super glue and it was fixed though so it wasn't a big deal but something of not for sure. Especially if it was to happen and a small piece was lost and not able to be reattached.

The only thing was I couldn’t get my tracking number to work, and I never got an email saying it was on the way so I wasn’t sure when it was supposed to arrive. True Katana is a great place to purchase swords. I first saw one my brother-in-law purchased and was very impressed. I purchased this one as a gift and it did not disappoint. It is extremely well made and is just gorgeous. The pictures on the site as well as mine do not do it justice. There is so much fine work and detail and for what I consider to be an extremely reasonable price. I plan on purchasing additional swords for myself as well as to give as gifts (when appropriate).

The sword came sooner than expected, around 5 days, pretty fast communication with support if i had questions, which i did. the sword is very sharp and came with a protective oil coating wrapped in plastic around the blade. looks great, just as advertised. my only complaint would be that drawing the sword from the scabbard leaves some wood particles on the blade. easily cleans off though, so not too big of a concern. overall, relatively cheap, good quality, great service. I would order from TrueKatana again. if you are someone looking into katanas but don’t really know where to go and don’t trust very many websites, TrueKatana is definitely a good place to buy from.

Katana is beautiful and sturdy! Only issue is the metal bracket used to hold the strap will slip along the length of the scabbard. I wish that would stay in place. But otherwise a beautiful katana.

The only reason I have rated the sword as a four is because the scabbard was damaged during shipping. The rest of the sword is a beautiful piece of workmanship. We will be ordering more Katanas through Truekatana in the future. Hopefully they will arrive undamaged next time.
