Everything about it is great, but the saya/sheath. The outside of it was fine, no problems. The inside was weak, and chips would often come off. Also it would be helpful to throw in a paper that shows the specs of the blade. (metal type, length, proper care oils, ect)

The sword is absolutely beautiful and sharp enough to shave with. The scabbard is like the design is engraved into the leather before being painted silver with is pretty cool. It's sturdy and the blade fits nicely in the scabbard. All in all I'm happy with this new addition to my now 7 katana sword collection.

This katana is now my favorite and I've bought over 7 from TK ,the reason is it's special blade geometry which makes it very light and fast with one hand. The hamon and polish are impeccable and the blade a beaty.The other reason is the fit and finish is flawless and especially love the fit of the Saya and its elegant silk string. Wanted to take this opportunity to recommend the t10 folded naginata's I've included, these have the same blade geometry as katana reviewed (which also makes them light)they are 1 3/8" tall the whole way through the blade(which is the same length)opposed to a 11/4" tapering to 1". These naginata's are bigger and badder ,you won't be sorry you picked one up.

Love this thing. Best katana I own. It’s sturdy, it’s durable, it feels nice in the hand, it’s not too heavy or too light, it actually stays in the scabbard, and it’s sharp. My only complaint is that the main photo is slightly deceiving. The scabbard color doesn’t actually have a fade-to-white design on it. But I still give it 5 stars. 100% recommend.

Overall the sword is a nice looking wall hanger. But I am concerned about the quality of materials used. They used plastic on certain parts of handle that should be metal and I think the hamon is faked with an acid etch and not a real one caused by differential hardening like they said. I also have no idea if this is real T10 the fake acid etch is concerning if it is because T10 needs a quality differential hardening to be the heat steel that it can be. For the price it’s at I would expect at least no plastic on the sword but at least it looks nice on a wall.

Sword over all is great quality for the price. Super sharp, beautifully crafted.
However the saya (sheath) is much brighter than it looks on the site, almost like glitter. I was expecting a more forest green.
All in all very satisfied.

I could not be more pleased with my order of the pictured katana. First, the packaging was very well done. Order arrived in a styrofoam box wrapped in water proof yellow tape. Inside, the blade was in its scabbard (saya) which was in a clear plastic wrap for protection. Upon removing the blade, I found it inside of an oiled tubular plastic wrap for corrosion protection. Second, the scabbard had a beautiful, consistent coloration and was made of hardwood with gold fittings - classy. Third the blade - 5/16" thick at the crossguard (tsuba) tapering to 3/16" at the tip. The differential heat treating line was stunning. The blade was very sharp and the handle was also covered in clear plastic wrap for protection. What a great value - I will definitely be a repeat customer!
