I ordered a Katana and a sword stand. However, the sword stand couldn't deliver which was unfortunate but it was made transparent to me with an immediate refund. The quality of the sword is really nice for the price. The shipping costs were unknown until after the purchase, which would have been nicer to know beforehand. For the rest, very nice quick response times :)

I bought this Katana as an 18th birthday gift for my son. He’s very involved in martial arts and things of that nature. He went and found the Katana and asked for it as his gift. We were actually blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of both the katana and the wooden sheath. The Katana itself is gorgeous and so well made the attention to detail is remarkable. The wooden sheath is stunning and looks like a masterpiece itself. We quickly ordered wall mounts and it’s proudly mounted on my son’s wall in his room. It’s a stunning piece to look at and he LOVES having it as part of his decor for his room as well as just an amazing piece of what I’d call art! This was my first purchase with True Katana so I went with one of the lesser expensive swords. Upon receiving the sword, I found it to be of good quality for the money. That being said I did have an issue with removing the sword from the scabbard. The first time took some finesse and patience as the sword did not want to budge. I eventually was able to free it and worked the sword back and forth until it smoothed out. All in all a fine sword for the money. I will be moving up in price range with my soon to be next purchase with this company.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. For my first sword buying experience, I regret ordering online but I’m glad I ordered thru TrueKatana. As someone who never owned a sword, my initial impressions were blown away upon delivery. My only issue with the handle itself is that the Tsuba & Habaki don’t match the picture. The 4stars in my review are from the fact TrueKatana was also EXTREMELY communicative & responded to my emails swiftly during the shipping process. All in all, I’d buy again!
