Sword came packed normally no problem the handle was double wrapped in plasyfor protection during shipping this sword is outstanding true hamon razor sharp unique embeleshments nothing cheap or hoky solid tight great fit in the scabard love this sword and I love the designs true katana comes up with no same old same old here love you guys and everybody involved with true katana Buddha bless

It wasn't as attractive as it pictured online, and I had to get my husband to remove the blade from the sheath because there was some kind of plastic wrap inside the sheath which made it almost impossible to open. Not particularly pleased with this overall.

I could not be more pleased with my order of the pictured katana. First, the packaging was very well done. Order arrived in a styrofoam box wrapped in water proof yellow tape. Inside, the blade was in its scabbard (saya) which was in a clear plastic wrap for protection. Upon removing the blade, I found it inside of an oiled tubular plastic wrap for corrosion protection. Second, the scabbard had a beautiful, consistent coloration and was made of hardwood with gold fittings - classy. Third the blade - 5/16" thick at the crossguard (tsuba) tapering to 3/16" at the tip. The differential heat treating line was stunning. The blade was very sharp and the handle was also covered in clear plastic wrap for protection. What a great value - I will definitely be a repeat customer!

The ito wrap was kinda fuzzy and could have been more neatly wrapped, and one of the menuki's was in the wrong spot on the blade handle. The only other issue i have is the the plastic that was wrapped around the blade for shipping came off inside the saya before i took the blade out and is now stuck inside. I have no other issues.
